Philomena Pretsell has been working in clay for over 20 years. She has been exhibiting her sculptural work since 1997 including at Galerie Albion Putti in the Netherlands. She has work in permanent collections including the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy and the Museum of Ceramics in Vallauris, France. Philomena has won multiple awards and is featured in many publications including Subversive Ceramics by Claudia Clare (2016).

She says of her work

“The JOY of making will always be there and through its outcome the discovery of something to challenge me and perhaps those who see what I do; laughter and tears help us explore and examine who we are and where we choose to be, what we choose to be and what we choose to say and put out there.”
