Glazed stoneware ceramic tiles can be employed to create stunning features for gateways and exterior architectural applications, as they are frost-proof, self-cleaning and will last indefinitely. The first gateway below is a bespoke design for a private residence in Devon. Kay works with her clients to create a design pertinent to the site and to suit personal taste, taking on board any thematic suggestions and producing a design for approval. The second design is the entranceway into The Ceramic House. It is called the Asturian gateway as Kay has re-used her tile designs for her doorway commission in Asturias to create a new feature. The tiles were hand-made and hand-crafted in Kay’s studio.
