Born in London 1960, Rebecca is currently living and working in Bermondsey, London. She graduated in ceramics from Camberwell College of Arts in 2009, followed by a post grad course in sculpture at City & Guild London School of Art.
Her work engages with human characteristics and narratives, drawing from literary cultural traditions and personal histories.
She addresses this in the form of clothing and objects of comfort to create metaphors intimately associated with the body, presence and absence.
Working mainly with porcelain and mixed media, Rebecca enjoys transposing the volatile nature of clay from soft to hard. She believes the imitable properties of clay offer limitless scope for playful interventions and parodies.
