Kay Aplin has been invited to participate in the International Invited Group Ceramic Exhibition as part of the 1st International Çanakkale Ceramic Symposium. 

Red Flowering Gum Roundel from her Seed series is currently on display at the Çanakkale Ceramic Museum. Kay’s work sits alongside renowned artists from around the world as well as all the participating artists in the Symposium.

Kay’s second trip to Çanakkale to work on her commission for the Çanakkale Biennial deliberately coincided so that she could participate in the Symposium. She worked alongside the other artists for a few days and produced some new pieces in a lustre firing. Kay was invited to give a presentation of her work at Mahal Sanat, the beautiful former grain warehouse which also serves as a residency space run by Çanakkale Biennial. It was a full house and many people were very enthusiastic in their response, thank you all for coming!
