One of Kay’s degree pieces was a doorway designed for the Textile Museum in Barcelona, discovered when she spent several months there in 1994 as an Erasmus student. One element of the door was a screen- printed stained glass panel. Kay resized the panel to fit the cupboard she had built into the living room alcove.
