Each piece is influenced by places lying derelict and in a state of decline. Being created in the delicate material of porcelain the pieces reflect on the fragility of the history of these places. Using fragments of print and surface texture it gives the sense of how these once important places of society are now left at threat of becoming a distant memory of time. The high quality hand-made slip cast porcelain ceramics is faithful to the functions of traditional ceramics, whilst reflecting them in contemporary ways.
